ALLPS School of Innovation recently hosted the citywide kickoff for Black History Month! The celebration included special guests Ja’Dayia Kursh, the first Black rodeo queen in Arkansas, Mayor Lioneld Jordan, and Fayetteville Public Education Executive Director, Cambre Horne-Brooks among others.
The Black History Month presentation was led by Mrs. Hillary Bell from KISS 105.3 FM with assistance from Randy Coleman, ALLPS JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) teacher, and ALLPS Student Ambassadors. Dr. John L Colbert, Superintendent of Fayetteville Public Schools, was honored with the Pioneer in Education Award.
The kickoff event ended with music provided by DJ Derrick and dancing led by Cardio Groove!
